MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian and Chinese diplomats will visit Tehran soon to urge Iran to cooperate more with the UN nuclear watchdog on behalf of the major powers, Russian media quoted Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov as saying on Tuesday.
The five permanent Security Council members, who also include Britain, France and the United States, decided on Tuesday to ask the UN nuclear watchdog to pass Iran's case to the council.
"I expect representatives of the leadership of the Russian foreign ministry with Chinese colleagues to visit Tehran to explain the agreements adopted in London and to urge Iran to give precise answers to the questions that the IAEA has presented," RIA Novosti news agency quoted Lavrov as saying.
